When you upload a file the only usage for the file is to go into algorithms for transcription. The file will then be deleted within 24 hours.
In order to perform the transcription, the file is stored on Google Infrastructure and cutting-edge speech recognition algorithms using Microsoft and Google technologies are applied on the file.
After 24 hours, the only thing which is kept on Transcripto server is the text transcript from your file.
You can delete this text transcript using the delete button from the add-on menu. All data related to the transcript are then deleted.
You can buy credit using the top-menu of the add-on in Google Docs.
The payment using one of the best payment provider on the internet : Stripe
If any issue appears after you pay or if you are not happy with Transcripto for acceptable reasons, a refund can of course be done. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org so we could discuss and find a solution to your problem.
Having a machine doing the transcription work for you is pretty cool and pretty impressive right ?
This is just one more example of how artificial intelligence can make our life simpler and help us to save time.
If you are interested on the technological aspect I would suggest you to have a look at available resources on the internet for Speech Recognition such as this course on Coursera or this nice available course from Stanford.
